Thankfully, Talya (Taeko's sister) who lives in Buenos Aires, met up with me on Thursday night to help purchase a new phone. Thank goodness for her; I could have never navigated the telephone store in my next-to-nothing Spanish.
So now, I have an LG Android phone for the next couple of months. I have an Argentine number, a loaded phone card, and I can communicate with the world again. When we purchased the phone, I wanted something with a decent camera. Not as good as the iPhone6 but here are some photos from yesterday.

Here is a photo of the girls this morning. They're both enjoying their recent favorite foods. Dava has been eating a banana every day, and Charlie has enjoyed free rein of the various sugar-saturated yogurts they have here. We've heard that Greek-style yogurt is available but have yet to find it.
Charlie is all wet from a morning swim in the pool. There wasn't a whole lot of swimming. A cat emerged onto the roof patio and the girls chased it around most of the time. Lately, Dava is obsessed with cats with dogs. (There are dogs everywhere in this neighborhood! Unfortunately, somehow there is more dog poop and pee on the ground than on the Upper West Side. At least we're used to looking where we're walking. Yesterday after getting out of school, I took Dava to a park where many dog walkers take the dogs to run around.) We befriended a dog and threw a ball around. She's really into saying "ruff! ruff!"
Charlie says: My first bite of Argentine yogurt [this morning].
Dava is starting to feel better from her ear infection, we think. She hadn't improved much Wednesday or yesterday but she may have been experiencing side effects from the antibiotic. She's been very cranky and clingy. Poor thing. Pobrecita!
