New backpacks

Jamie says: Check out these two with their fancy new backpacks. Jonathan and I were overjoyed that Charlie chose Peppa Pig over Disney Princesses. Her backpack luggage handle is even a couple inches too small, but she wanted the Peppa Pig backpack very badly.
Also, I'm not entirely sure she's allowed to wear socks like these to school. I'm guessing not. But no one has said anything to use about it, so... 

Note the horrible quality of the photos I take with this phone. When I get a new iPhone I'm going to write it a villanelle, or at the very least a sonnet.

When Dava wears the backpack she practically tips over.

Here is a picture of Dava on, yes, a shopping cart with a kid car in front of it. We don't even have these in NYC. If only I had known there would be a Target-like shopping plaza three blocks from our house... 

I wish someone had told me: 

Don't bring: shampoo, tampons, kids water bottles, Eucerin, a full children's wardrobe
Bring: new backpacks, stick-on name tags, toys for the baby, more pants (USA lady size), more shoes, the fanciest outfits in possession.
